The Cooper Associates Foundation is thrilled to have donated £2,520 to Allsorts, a pan-disability charity making a big difference in Gloucestershire by assisting children and young people with any disability or additional need.
Allsorts offers fun and creative activities for children, including youth clubs, play sessions, sports and fitness and a specialist toy library. Their mission is for children and young people with additional needs to have a choice of meaningful and accessible opportunities. They also provide support for the whole family, with trips, advice surgeries, siblings’ hangouts, and a grandparent’s group to help everyone feel supported and included.
Adrienne, an Allsorts member who has benefitted from accessing their services, said:
“We found Allsorts many years ago, it had been amazing as there are limited activities my daughter can take part in due to her disability. What we love about Allsorts is that our children have been able to have fun together. They have been on trips, been sailing and bowling and so much more. The support workers are so valuable to help out on these trips. They have helped with all our children. I never felt nervous taking them all out together as I always knew the support was available.”
During 2022, 894 members attended an activity organised by Allsorts, with the charity currently supporting over 438 families.
Victoria Tremear, Trustee of Cooper Associates Foundation, said:
“We are delighted to be able to support Allsorts, a charity which really touches the heart of the Gloucestershire community. Our grant enables Allsorts to continue to provide a Support Worker for their parent/carer and toddler weekly sessions throughout 2023. We hope our small contribution can make a big difference to the children and families that Allsorts supports.”
