Cooper Associates Group has donated £4,950 to the JOGLE for Jude fundraising campaign, in memory of Jude Chinn.
Jude tragically died in June last year, aged just three years old. After falling ill at home he was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, where a scan revealed that part of his bowel had died off. Jude was immediately rushed into theatre for emergency surgery and then taken to Bristol Children’s Hospital, where he was cared for in their intensive care unit where he spent the next 24 hours, before sadly passing away.
Jude’s parents, Richard Chinn and Laura Jones, have committed to raising funds for the team at Bristol Children’s Hospital. Richard will be leading a team of 18 cyclists on a charity cycle ride
from John O’Groats to Land’s End, starting on 26 June. The total distance is approximately 900 miles and the team are aiming to complete the challenge in just nine days, finishing in Land’s End on 4 July.
Our donation will be used to cover the costs of accommodation for all the cyclists throughout the duration of their challenge, thus ensuring all funds raised will go directly to Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Samantha Jackson, Group Managing Director at Cooper Associates Group, said:
“We are delighted to be supporting this fantastic fundraising challenge in memory of Jude. As a parent myself, I can only imagine how devastating the loss of a child must be. Richard and Laura are very close to their £60,000 fundraising target and would welcome further donations to their fundraising page which can be found at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jogleforjude“
