The Cooper Associates Foundation is starting to make a difference
The Cooper Associates Foundation has revealed details of the first projects to benefit from their funding.
Crowcombe Primary School, Bridgwater Sea Cadets and Christmas Sparkle are the first beneficiaries of the Cooper Associates Foundation, launched earlier this year.
Ros Kirk, Head of People Strategy & Development at Cooper Associates Group, explained details of the recent donations:
“We were delighted to receive an application from Crowcombe Primary School, who requested funding for a new high-spec digital camera for their students, a number of who have a keen interest in photography and were limited by their existing equipment.
Bridgwater Sea Cadets also reached out to us in a bid to raise funding for the purchase of new kayaks for their members. Delighted to be of help, Head of Marketing, Neil Wyatt, paid them a visit on behalf of the Foundation, where he was greeted by the Sea Cadets in their full uniform and learnt of all the ways in which children are learning and developing strong skill sets, which can help them on all walks of life.
Christmas Sparkle aim to give a Christmas gift to every child living in difficult circumstances in the Taunton and Wellington community and we are very pleased to be able to support them.
Our Foundation is unbiased in its efforts to support small to medium sized charities that can benefit substantially from the fundraising we can donate.
We encourage local charities who are looking for support to get in touch. The focus is on children and young people who have special needs through illness or disability, or who are disadvantaged in other ways, as well as other good causes within the Taunton region. Importantly, our Foundation’s administration costs are covered, so everything raised goes straight to the charities we support.
