Cooper Associates is delighted to announce the sponsorship of Somerset wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Banton.
Tom, who is only 20 years old, is set to have a bright future ahead of him, with the BBC recently reporting he is ‘one of the brightest young talents of the country’. 1 Having grown up in Warwickshire, he moved to Taunton in 2015 to study at King’s College, and it wasn’t long before he was snapped up by the Somerset Academy. He made his County Championship debut for Somerset in 2018.
Tom is a brand ambassador for Cooper Associates, attending events and having exclusive ‘back of the bat’ sponsorship. Tom has seen his profile take-off in the past two seasons as a result of being a key part of Somerset’s success in all formats this season. Many cricket experts see Tom breaking into England’s white ball squads in the near future.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Tom Banton said: “I’m delighted to sign as a brand ambassador for Cooper Associates for the next three years. I appreciate the support they have shown me, and I look forward to a long and successful partnership with them”
Samantha Jackson, Managing Director of Cooper Associates said: “We could not be more excited about having Tom Banton as a brand ambassador for Cooper Associates. He is one of the most exciting batsman in the country and has thrilled the crowds at The Cooper Associates County Ground this season. With a prosperous career ahead of him, we look forward to seeing his success grow and supporting him throughout his journey. Cricket fans should keep an eye on our social media channels for details of exclusive competitions, featuring Tom, which we have planned for later in the year.”
Cooper Associates are ground naming rights partners of Somerset County Cricket Club. England stars Jos Buttler and Jack Leach are also Cooper Associates brand ambassadors.
