The Cooper Associates Foundation has donated £3,000 to The Nelson Trust.
The Nelson Trust provides support to people whose lives have been torn apart by addiction and the multiple and complex needs that come with it. They provide residential rehabilitation treatment to men and women in Stroud, as well as holistic community support for women at their six women’s centres in Gloucester, Bridgwater, Bristol, Swindon, Cardiff and HMP Eastwood Park.
Cherie, Team Lead at The Nelson Trust, said:
“The Nelson Trust is so thankful to Cooper Associates for awarding our Gloucester Women’s Centre a grant of £3,000 towards our creche services. The creches at our centres are a vital part of our service offering to our clients. It means they can access our support in a safe environment without the added barrier of childcare.”
Cooper Associates Foundation is the charitable arm of the Cooper Associates Group. We act to support charities through clients associated with the Cooper Associates community.
Neil Wyatt, Trustee of the Cooper Associates Foundation, said:
“We are delighted to support The Nelson Trust with this donation. Their award-winning service brings long-term recovery and lasting change to lives affected by addiction and multiple vulnerabilities. The Nelson Trust operates a number of Women’s Centres, which deliver practical and emotional support to some of the most disadvantaged, marginalised and stigmatised women in our communities.
“Our donation will help fund their creche, which provides a safe, stimulating and welcoming facility for children from birth to eight years of age. Supported by the creche worker, it provides a stable environment for their client’s children, where they will be looked after while the women attend sessions and activities that support well-being and rehabilitation.”
