Over the past month we have been truly humbled by how individuals, businesses and organisations within our communities have acted in support of those affected by the Ukraine crisis, as this terrible tragedy unfolds on our television screens. From donations to crisis appeals, to supplying essential food and medical items, our communities have responded selflessly to support those in urgent need.
In the past week we have seen many local people (including members of our team) commit to taking refugees displaced from the crisis into their own homes. We applaud all of these people for acting in such a generous and compassionate manner, and we look forward to welcoming and supporting these new members of our communities when they arrive.
At Cooper Associates we are absolutely committed to help those impacted by the crisis. We are holding a number of internal fundraising events where the proceeds will be donated towards the Ukraine crisis – our company is double matching the funds raised at some of these events. The Cooper Associates Foundation is consulting with various agencies to establish how we can best assist those most in need.
As a symbol of our solidarity with the people of Ukraine, and everyone affected by the conflict and humanitarian crisis, we have lit up our Taunton office with the colours of the Ukraine flag.
