Cooper Associates mortgage adviser, Jo Langford, has achieved a lifelong ambition by successfully completing the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon. Jo undertook the gruelling 26.2 mile challenge in aid of St. Margaret’s Hospice and raised a magnificent £7,109. The fund raising consisted of various different events including a Cooper Associates ‘Charity Bake Off’ as well as a charity auction and quiz night .
St Margaret’s Hospice is at the heart of Somerset’s community providing compassionate care to individuals and their families who are facing the challenge of a life-limiting illness. They are dedicated to making each day count for all their patients and in turn their families. Significantly, 100% of the care and support provided is free of charge to patients and their families at the point of service. To deliver services in the year ahead, St Margaret’s Hospice anticipate that clinical costs will amount to £7.5m. This highlights a heavy reliance on the charitable support of donors and the local community to ensure that they can continue to provide vital end of life care across Somerset.
