The Cooper Associates Foundation has donated £3,672 to Conquest Centre, who provide therapeutic support involving equines, small animals and the environment to enable each individual to thrive.
Our donation will be used to fund an in-ground trampoline for the new and improved outdoor play area at Conquest Centre, which is based just outside of Taunton. The addition of the trampoline improves the range of on-site recreation and leisure opportunities at the popular venue.
Conquest Centre work primarily with horses to improve the lives of people with disabilities and additional needs. Over recent years the centre has grown significantly, offering a wider range of activities for visitors.
Lotta von der Heyde, Grants and Evaluations Manager at Conquest Centre, said:
“Conquest’s Outdoor Play and Picnic Area is an important part of the Centre’s work with disabled children, young people and their families. For many it offers a rare opportunity to enjoy some outdoor exercise and leisure together – something which can be difficult at their local play park.
We are so delighted with the generous donation from The Cooper Associates Foundation, which has enabled us to add the inground trampoline. This important addition offers clients the opportunity to bounce and relax tight muscles ahead of riding or therapy, and being inground it’s accessible even for those with limited mobiity.”
The new facilities will be officially opened in August/September 2021.
