Cooper Associates Foundation is delighted to approve a grant application request for funding for a digital camera from Crowcombe C of E Primary School. Kate Williams, a volunteer at the school, explained how this will make a difference.
“We are committed to giving our pupils the best foundation in arts and technology and we are currently engaged in our Artsmark Award, which has a strong digital arts aspect. We currently lack the ability to take HD stills and videos, especially at longer distances.
Previously we had to borrow equipment, but this meant not everyone was able to use it. The DSLR camera we have now purchased, thanks to the donation made by the Cooper Associates Foundation, will fill the gap and make a huge impact on our pupils’ learning and experience. The new camera will be used in our after school photography and video club, as well as in regular lessons.
We strongly believe this new equipment will improve the skill set of children, broadening imagination, improving access to new activities, encouraging teamwork and helping our children to reach their full potential.
