We’re delighted to welcome three new individuals to our LEAP Accelerator Programme: Will Crane, Jacob Dodds, and Deon Dupont.
Through LEAP, they will undertake continuous learning and qualifications under the guidance of Thomas Jackson, Managing Director of Cooper Associates Mortgages, and Nick Feetenby, Adviser Development Manager.
With only a few select places available every year, LEAP welcomes an elite cohort of individuals. Applicants don’t need to have financial qualifications or financial experience, but they do need to have a driven mindset and a motivation to succeed.
An individual who joins the LEAP Accelerator Programme will already have demonstrable success elsewhere, but with an overriding ambition for autonomy. That could be having control over their own diary, enjoying an unlimited earning potential, or the opportunity to progress in a timeframe that works for them.
For any candidate successfully applying to join the LEAP programme, their transferrable skills and work ethic will be honed by an experienced in-house team, to deliver an outstanding quality of mortgage adviser. Our LEAP programme has previously pivoted brilliant individuals from diverse backgrounds, including analysts, military officers, and professional sportspersons.
Thomas Jackson said: “Will, Jacob, and Deon are excellent examples of the exemplary talent we’re looking for when hiring within our LEAP programme. They’re the best in their field, and their experience has moulded them into personable, driven individuals who not only can, but want to, excel.
“Day in, day out as a mortgage adviser, we’re dealing with people. People who need our support and guidance, now more so than ever. We can teach the skills and the qualifications that are required to become a mortgage adviser, but what we can’t teach is work ethic and drive. That’s why we’re on the lookout for exceptional people with real-world insight and understanding, not always experience of having already given advice.”
Will Crane joins this year’s cohort after nine years of a professional rugby career for Hartpury College and the Cornish Pirates. Jacob Dodds joins after more than a decade in various senior management roles with a FTSE100 retailer, and Deon Dupont joins after many years of running his own successful business venture, pioneering new technologies and working alongside numerous blue-chip businesses.
We wish Will, Jacob, and Deon the best of luck in their new roles.
